Members will delve into the history of the cask, taste and critique the whisky, and enjoy exclusive events with industry experts – always in an atmosphere of elegance, style and camaraderie.

My family has distilled, blended, bottled and sold Scotch whisky for going on 300 years, and one of the key components to their success was the community that grew with them.

In tribute to our own growing community, I have decided to re-launch Beneagles Club 502. One of Spain’s first ever whisky clubs, 502 was originally set up by my grandfather in honour of celebrating his friendships within the country and beyond.

As an independent bottler, I strive to seek out and showcase the best whiskies from around Scotland. My vision for 502 is to be a global gathering of independent thinkers and artisans who are eager to explore the full richness of single cask whisky that Scotland has to offer, with transparency and impartiality. One of the most complex and nuanced expressions of Scotch, single cask whisky is revered for its individuality and ephemeral purity in the glass.
Once it is gone, it is gone forever. So while it’s here, let’s enjoy it. Together.

Sam is a trained whisky expert and founder of Nine Smoking Barrels, specialising in impactful whisky education and activations across Europe. A true advocate of single cask whisky, Sam is host and co-curator of Madrid 502.
FINN THOMSON
Finn is the ninth generation of a Scottish whisky family stretching nearly 300 years. In 2022 he relaunched the family business under Finn Thomson Whisky and leads the team as Master Bottler. Finn
co-curates all Club 502 events.
REEVE RIXON
Reeve comes from a career in advertising spanning innovation, fashion and the arts. He leads the creative vision behind the Finn Thomson Whisky brand as Creative Director and oversees the creative execution of Club 502.
